On March 26th, US Senator Ted Cruz said that he had seen the full scale of the “Biden Administration Border Crisis” and the cages that asylum-seekers were locked in.
I saw firsthand the #BidenBorderCrisis unfolding on the southern border.
My fellow Senators and I witnessed the Biden cages.
It is heartbreaking and it is a tragedy. pic.twitter.com/ucPZINKMvD

Ted Cruz released a letter address to US President Joe Biden, saying that, despite assertions by the administration that the situation is not a crisis, “the American people are beginning to understand the gravity of the situation.”
“But it is not enough for members of the Senate to see what is happening — the American people must see,” wrote the Texas senator. “That is why I requested that members of the media be allowed to join us. But your administration clearly and emphatically refused to offer press access.”
“This is outrageous and hypocritical,” added Cruz, who pointed to both Psaki’s and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ reneging on their vows of “transparency” from the start of the administration.
The crisis on the US southern border erupted after two factors came together:
- migrants rushed to cross the border as soon as they learned of the defeat of Donald Trump, who literally sealed the border and implemented a tough policy of deportations of illegal immigrants and
- Biden canceled agreements with Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador on the temporary detention of asylum seekers in their territories. In addition, Biden suspended the deportation of illegal immigrants and spoke about granting citizenship to those migrants who at one time illegally crossed the US border as children.
All this provoked a border crisis, in which the illegal immigrants themselves, as well as residents of the border settlements of the United States, suffer. Border guards and immigration agents have been struggling with the influx of migrants for weeks. At the same time, the Biden administration largely denies the existence of a crisis.
Additionally, Ted Cruz shared an exclusive video of a woman that he identified as an employee of the Joe Biden Administration who was blocking him recording a video of the migrant center. It can be seen below.
The situation is dire, and the Biden Administration is calling for volunteers to report and assist at the border crisis. The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has sent memos to agency heads seeking “volunteer deployments” for up to 120 days.
“We are actively working to screen, process and deploy these volunteers while continuing our recruitment efforts and exploration of other avenues to bolster staff resources at the border,” an OPM spokesperson said.
Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden said that Vice President Kamala Harris would be responsible for dealing with the situation.
She has been entirely gone after being “deputized”.
Meantime, while government officials are preparing to volunteer their time to help keep our borders safe, according to CNN, Harris is currently frustrated with the ongoing renovations being made to the vice president’s mansion – forcing her and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff to temporarily stay at Blair House, the president’s official guest quarters.
It is a true tragedy for Harris, of course.
Harris, in fact, laughed while responding to a question from a reporter who asked if she’d be heading south soon.
She replied with what some called a cackle, “Not today.”
Apparently, the border crisis is now a laughing matter for the Biden administration.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki maintained the Biden administration’s stance during a press conference, referring to the border situation as a “circumstance” and saying that children escaping from persecution in their home countries “is not a crisis.”
“Children presenting at our border who are fleeing violence, who are fleeing prosecution, who are fleeing terrible situations is not a crisis,” Psaki said. “We feel it is our responsibility to humanely approach this circumstance and make sure they are treated, and put into conditions that are safe.”
